In 1974 aspiring artists George Chandler and Reed Hampton set out to revive the all but forgotten craft of hand-forging raw metal into elegant works of art. The two founded Hubbardton Forge, a blacksmithing and metal-craft studio located on the stone foundation of an old Vermont barn. Their designs quickly drew attention and a successful business was born. Today the company has grown to become the oldest and largest decorative commercial forge in the country...one of the most revered lighting brands in the industry. Over 180 skilled people work together to design and manufacture award-winning lighting and accessories to the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
